Welcome to De Laape, a unique meeting and accommodation venue where future-proof building and green meetings are central. Here, sustainability is not a buzzword, but the core of everything we do. Besides the sustainable design of our premises, meeting in nature offers another proven benefit: it promotes better decision-making.
Agricultural heritage
With several rooms, the farmhouse has an area of 456m2. A plenary meeting, workshops on the ground floor, drinks on the landing followed by dinner or a brainstorming session in the skybox. Everything is possible. The farmhouse has been modernised with respect for the old layout and made suitable for your event.
In the middle of nature
In the middle of nature, on the through water of the Wartenster Wiid, you can reach the beautiful National Park ‘De Alde Feanen’ in just 15 minutes. This is one of the few places in the Netherlands where, on clear nights, you can admire the Milky Way in its full glory. During the day, you can enjoy the silence and the rich flora and fauna here.
Sustainably certified
The properties are heated with heat pumps, and the thick layer of vegetation on the roof - besides looking beautiful - keeps the temperature in the bedrooms comfortable in summer and winter. Energy is generated with solar panels and rainwater is used to flush the toilets. It is a big wish to start using rainwater runoff from the farmhouse roof as well. So we keep looking for the best solutions.
