When De Laape was developed, we focused as much as possible on future-proof construction. In addition to the buildings being as green as possible, green meetings have another advantage; research has shown that meeting in nature leads to better decision-making.

Eating at De Laape

As a proud participant in Dutch Cuisine, we embrace the principles of this movement in our cuisine. Our dishes are prepared with local, seasonal ingredients and we aim for a balance of 80% local and 20% external produce. Moreover, we serve our meals in shared dining style, sharing dishes to reduce food waste and promote social interaction. Kees Meinders who earned his first green star October 2024 heads the Laape's kitchen. As a result, you are guaranteed a high quality and surprising offer.

Bee Foundation

Bees provide almost 90% of all pollination on earth. Without bees, the world would look very different. Wild bees are not only hugely important, but also vulnerable. More than half of all 360 bee species in the Netherlands are on the red list. Fortunately, we can contribute to a good habitat for bees in various ways. We are proud ambassadors of Bee Foundation and our paying customers automatically are too! In fact, we donate a percentage of the total amount of every booking to Bee Foundation.

Sustainably certified

De Laape takes sustainability seriously, and with pride we carry the certifications of Green Key, Dutch Cuisine and we are in the process of becoming B Corp certified. With our certifications, we are recognisable for embracing sustainability in all its facets. More importantly, we want to keep learning.
